Preshrunk 2012

Yesterday I dropped off some work for this years Preshrunk show at  Argyle Fine Art.  It opens tomorrow, January 27th, and runs until February 16th.

I look forward to this show every year because it’s kinda fun to work so small.

Waiting……..

So, it has been a while since I last posted anything. Life has been busy lately, and I have finally had a chance to come up for air. I’ve started to keep a sheet of paper by my workspace to catch my ideas. Here are some drawings that I have done while waiting or working on different projects.

Death Mountain

Where to start when asked for death mountain………

This was a rough concept that I did for a short I worked on recently. I was pretty happy with it, but it wasn’t quite what was needed. I may paint it anyway sometime.

This was my next take on it:

This wasn’t quite ominous enough, but the third time’s a charm.

Pre-Shrunk Preview

I”M NUMBER EIGHT!

One of my paintings has been selected as the eighth preview piece leading up to the Pre-Shrunk show at Argyle Fine Art this friday. For the full post Click here.

I will add more images after the opening on friday.

Pre-Shrunk

To kick off the new year I will be participating in Pre-Shrunk at Argyle Fine Art in Halifax on January 28. There will be over 50 artists submitting works measuring 4″x5″.

This will be Argyle’s first show in their new space at 1559 Barrington St.

For more information click here.

Eh OK!

So I’m I little behind in putting this up, but there is still time to catch this show. I have 4 small mixed media pieces showing until the 31st of July.

In case you can’t make it to the show, here’s a quick bit with my work.

Mystery Art Show

Every Year Adsum House holds a Mystery Art Show where artists submit a 5×7 piece and the names of the artists are withheld until the work is sold. I love the idea because the work is bought because of the love of it, and not for who the artist is. Now that the show has closed I can say that this was my submission.
